Restorative Yoga

I'm so excited to start teaching Restorative Yoga! In this class our main objective will be to consciously relax the entire body. We will hold a handful of supported poses, so you still get the benefits of the yoga poses without all the work.

You will need a yoga bolster, body pillow, or 2 pillows. You will want to dress warmly and as comfortably as possible. Bring a blanket, towel and an eye mask if you have one.

Doing a Restorative practice helps to:

* Resets your body
* Encourages the Relaxation Response of the body
* Lowers blood pressure
* Lowers heart rate
* Lowers muscle tension and pain
* Allows your body to store more energy in your cells
* Improves digestion
* Strengthens your immune system
* Improves the circulation to your organs
* Helps you sleep
* Balances hormone levels (pre and post pregnancy and menopausal women)
* Fights depression and helps to level mood

***This class is great for all fitness levels. If you are in your first trimester then it is safe for pregnancy as well.


Stress is responsible for 99.9% of illnesses. Our adrenal glands are constantly over working because we live in a "fight or flight state". With the holidays coming up, this is the perfect time to let yourself relax. Consciously relaxing is better for your body than a nap and helps to reset your whole system.
